Taylor Swift Donates $100,000 to the Nashville Symphony

On December 13, Taylor Swift celebrated her 24th birthday by donating $100,000 to the Nashville Symphony.

The symphony thanked her in a tweet, "We are profoundly grateful for @TaylorSwift13′s donation," "Thank you, Taylor, for supporting musicians & music in #MusicCity. Happy Birthday!"

The symphony was suffering from financial hardship t his year and nearly lost Schermerhorn Symphony Center to foreclosure.

In 2012, Swift donated $4 million to the Country Music Hall of Fame and 14,000 books to the Nashville Public Library.
