Park City Institute (formerly Park City Performing Arts Foundation) is proud to announce Sarah West will be joining the non-profit as the first Managing Director. West brings a wealth of experience in strategic planning, marketing, partnership development, community development and fundraising to PCI. She comes to the organization from Sundance Institute where she most recently served as director of Utah community development.

"We are proud to have Sarah on board," says PCI executive director Teri Orr. "She brings incredible, non-profit-related knowledge and experience - as well as a deep personal passion for the arts - to our rapidly growing organization."

Over the past 19 years, PCI has morphed into an umbrella organization encompassing Eccles Center performances, the St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Nights Concerts at Deer Valley Resort, TEDx events, student outreach, Curiosities evenings, the Park City Institute / Strategic News Service Future in Review Speaker Series and the Mega-Genius Supply Store and IQ HQ (an after school literacy center); PCI has partnered with fellow non-profits on community projects such as Moose on the Loose and Dogs of Bark City.

"Synthesizing all these programs and creating a solid succession plan requires a managing director. Sarah is the just right person to help us refine and grow our organization," says Orr.

In addition to Sundance Institute, West has also worked for the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Association, Olympic Aid and Westminster College. She resides with her family in Park City and sits on the Board of Trustees for Ballet West.

Teri Orr will continue to serve as PCI's executive director.

Park City Institute is a non-profit organization, dedicated to bringing world-class performances and new ideas to the community. Since 1998, PCI has presented internationally renowned and cutting edge musicians, actors, authors, comedians, dancers, speakers and film at The George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Center for the Performing Arts (a joint-use facility with the Park City School District). The organization will present its 11th season of headliner concerts at Deer Valley Resort in the summer of 2014. PCI is dedicated to introducing young people to the arts through free student outreach workshops, shows and demonstrations. They proudly launched the Mega Genius Supply Store and IQ HQ - an after school literacy program and very thinky retail store - in January 2010. And the organization continues to illuminate with TEDx events and Curiosities evenings.
