Combining music and spoken word in the splendor of Shove Chapel by candlelight, this award-winning event has become a cherished holiday tradition. The eclectic programming honors old and new in the choral art, featuring music from medieval to modern, both sacred and secular. Through the interweaving of poetry, story, and song, Wintersong explores mystery, timelessness, the juxtaposition of light and dark, and the human longing for connection to the natural world.

Works featured on this year's program include, motets by Samuel Scheidt and Josquin des Prez, Constellations, by Frank Ticheli on lyric poems by Sara Teasdale, The Deer's Cry, by Arvo Pärt, as well as traditional carols in vibrant new arrangements. Come early for best seating!
