The Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts in partnership with the Atlantic Wind Symphony will present POPS IN PATCHOGUE, a special performance featuring the works of Leonard Bernstein, on Sunday, April 6 at 3:00 PM. This performance by Long Island's oldest professional concert band is the Suffolk County premiere of a recent 22 minute band arrangement of "West Side Story." In addition, the concert will include other Bernstein favorites including "Candide" and "Slava."

The Atlantic Wind Symphony is Long Islands' oldest fully professional concert band featuring only Long Island musicians. The Altantic Wind Symphony made its' Carnegie Hall debut on March 22, 1998, and recently performed at the Islip Arts Councils' "Play it Forward" concert at Heckscher Park on July 13, 2013, and at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts' "Sousa Salutes our Armed Forces" concert on November 10, 2013. The Atlantic Wind Symphony programs are funded or partially funded by Suffolk County. The Music Director is Joel Levy.
