"The Singing Trumpet is a recital that has been a joy to put together. The music is all music that is inspired by song. This type of music is the perfect platform for expressive music making, and that's what I love to do," said A2SO Principal Trumpeter Bill Campbell.

"So many people think of trumpet as just loud and exclamatory, but Bill's playing has such a singing, beautiful tone. These opera arias and lyrical pieces are the perfect chance for him to showcase this glorious sound. So thrilled to be performing with him," mused special guest pianist Matthew Thompson.

The A2SO Chamber Recital Series features the finest chamber recital music played by A2SO musicians and guests. These hour-long concerts are open to listeners of all ages. Wind, string and brass soloists and ensembles combine programs to include freshly minted pieces along with time-honored classics. All concerts are preceded by dessert and coffee. Hosted by the Jewish Community Center of Ann Arbor (2935 Birch Hollow Dr Ann Arbor, MI 48108). The A2SO thanks the CFI Group for their continued sponsorship of this series.
