WestBow Press announced Tuesday that "The Hungering Dark" by Stephen R. Clark was the grand prize-winning manuscript for its 2015 New Look Writing Contest. Additionally, G. E. Dabbs's entry "Captive of Circumstances" was awarded first place, and Mark Hollingsworth's "Sovereign" earned second-place honors.

WestBow's second-annual New Look Writing Contest was promoted through the BookLook Bloggers book-review program. These three prize-winning entries were chosen by WestBow Press as examples of new, creative Christian voices.

As the grand-prize winner, "The Hungering Dark" will receive free publishing services from WestBow Press and placement on BookLookBloggers.com. Through the BookLook bloggers program, blogging members are provided select copies of Thomas Nelson, Zondervan, and WestBow Press titles in exchange for book reviews. Dabbs and Hollingsworth will receive free publishing packages from WestBow Press.

"We were pleased by the quality of the titles submitted and especially with the grand-prize winner," commented Pete Nikolai, WestBow Press publisher. "We look forward to seeing what the future holds for these talented writers."
