Tom Kennedy, who was born in Bristol, England but now lives near the art deco metropolis of Chicago, has completed his new book "Sapphire the Dragon": an off-beat dragon, whose already lonely existence is up-ended with the introduction of a newcomer to her village.

"Sapphire wasn't like the other dragons of Dragon Valley," Kennedy said of his main character. "A beautiful and intriguing stranger [is] accepted by all of the other dragons, and Sapphire becomes even more isolated."

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Tom Kennedy's engaging tale creates a fantasy world that follows Sapphire, a dragon whose troubles are relatable to the real world.

Readers who wish to experience this enchanting work can purchase "Sapphire the Dragon" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
