Author Jason Gallaway saw a niche missing in the Christian book market. There were plenty of books on establishing a relationship with God, studying the Bible and how to become a better Christian. However, there were few books for young Christians that combined the morals and values of Scripture with the action and plot of many young adult books. Gallaway responded by writing "The Blessed Blade: Wielders Saga: Book 1" (published by WestBow Press).

In the first book of this planned series, Jeremiah Baile returns home to be with his mother after his father's murder. Jeremiah decides to do his own detective work to determine who killed his father. During his investigation he comes across the sword of an angel. With this sword's abilities, he might finally have the chance to bring his father's killer to justice. Jeremiah has something to learn about forgiveness, though.

"Most fiction out now is entertaining," says Gallaway, "but there is little meaning or substance to it beyond the enjoyment value it gives. My novel gives the reader an action-packed adventure to keep them entertained while also delivering a positive spiritual message."
