Her fondness for creating rhymes and songs on a weekly basis inspired author Teresa Dewhurst to write her debut book, "SLUG" (published by Xlibris UK). Published on 2013, this illustrated tale follows the adventures of one playful slug which gets on day by day with its love of eating. A new marketing campaign is all set to promote it.

Slugs were often portrayed as a nuisance by garden owners, and the latter often resort to its deliberate extermination. In this charming and lively picture book however, a slug took the center stage. Children will love to follow the tale of this mischievous slug which only lives to eat. He feasted on a garden when he believed that no one is about. He had grown all fat and bloated because of eating too much.

One day, he went to his favorite spot in the abundant garden and had his fill of peas, pears and all the other vegetables that he could get his mouth on. He was leaving his slime everywhere, but he was quite contented in appeasing his overpowering hunger. When he thought he had enough, he went to the nearby pond to drink some water. When he leaned on, he got a glimpse of his reflection. He looked so bloated and ugly. It was an unfortunate event because he fell down into the pond where a duck was having a time of its life. Will he be the duck's dinner this time? Was it the end for this naughty slug?

Filled with colorful and vibrant illustrations and accompanied with rhyming narrative, "Slug" will definitely captivate the readers' attention and give them a story they would not want to miss.
