Susan Ziggy has been a life-long learner, raised by a psychologist father who was married several times, she learned from each relationship. After her first marriage ended in divorce after years of therapy, she walked away with knowledge of what it took to be in a healthy relationship. She has a Master's degree in special education, and is an expert in communication and human behavior.

As Ziggy watched her children grow up and start picking their mates in life, she worried that they would end up getting hurt, choosing a life partner that was not the right match for them. As she started coaching her children and friends, she realized there was a desperate need for tools that couples can use to better their chances for a healthy relationship.

Susan Ziggy's book, "What to Do Before you Say 'I Do,'" lays out concrete examples of things you can do now, to ensure a fulfilling relationship down the road. Using probing questions and discussion starters, she helps the reader better understand themselves, and thus be better able to communicate with a partner.

"Relationships really are jobs. You have to show up every day and pay attention to what is required," says Ziggy. "Relationships are not always easy, but getting through the hard stuff can make it better in the end. A long term relationship is priceless, divorce isn't!"

Ziggy wrote this book for all relationships. She discusses issues with honesty, mutual respect, the importance of a sense of humor, compatibility markers, and red flag warnings. She hopes to provide a good foundation on which a couple can build a lasting, happy relationship.
