In "Skrelsaga" (published by Trafford Publishing), author Steve Parker creates a fantastic new world where humans, elves and an ancient race called the Skrel coexist and adventure lurks around every corner.

"While working in a restaurant, I suddenly thought of the first scene," explains Parker. "Once I realized they had an interesting story to tell, I started working on it. For quite some time I had no idea that it would turn into a novel."

Parker's debut fantasy novel takes readers to the world of Fenrys where three Skrel -Grok, Leku and Thenk - are trying to locate an ancient artifact. Knowing that their world will collapse if they fail, the three set out on a mission to overthrow the ambitious Geoe, a councilman who seeks the power to do what he sees as right even if it means eliminating the Skrel. Will Grok, Leku and Thenk be able to save their people and the world?

Parker encourages readers to look out for more as he is already planning a follow-up novel to "Skrelsaga." Through his book, he hopes readers will gain a "sense of enjoyment that comes from reading a well-told and interesting tale."
