MISSOURI VALLEY, Iowa

Author Stanley V. Udd presents a fresh retelling of the Book of Genesis in his new book, "A Genesis Journal: A Fresh Reading of Genesis 1-12" (published by WestBow Press).

Written for both religious and secular readers, "A Genesis Journal" retraces the creation of the Earth through Genesis, detailing God's interactions with fallen man. The book discusses the stories of Adam, Noah and Abraham, providing Udd's personal insights and reflections.

The book also cites passages from the Bible that explain Earth's history, touching on geological topics such as the fossil record. Udd believes the answers to many scientific questions can be found in the Bible, and he directs readers to specific passages while thoroughly explaining their relevance to the understanding of the Earth.

Udd taught Bible and science classes for 45 years, and he uses much of what he taught and learned to write his book. He hopes it will bring readers closer to God and lead them on the path towards personal salvation.

About the Author
Stanley V. Udd grew up on an Iowa farm. He was challenged early in life to live committed to God, so the intersection of Bible and science seemed a natural niche. His doctorate in Old Testament studies, an advanced degree in ecology, and 45 years of teaching and reflection spawned "A Genesis Journal.""
