Shalee Skaggs, a writer and artist, has completed her new book "The Bee Book": an engaging and fun rhyming book about bees, complete with adorable illustrations created by the author.

Growing up, Shalee's mother had a day care in their home, was a Sunday School teacher, a preschool teacher and a foster parent. Being raised around children her whole life and having two sons of her own, she realized quickly the importance of an early childhood education. She struggled in school despite her mom's efforts, but as she got older she realized she had to be entertained to learn. She wanted to write books that show kids that learning can be fun.

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Shalee Skaggs's lively tale teaches young readers all about bees. The book's fun rhymes and charming illustrations make reading and learning fun for children, while educating them and inspiring interest around one of nature's greatest miracles.

"Busy as a bee" - that's what they say. This is a fun story about a day in the life of a bee, and how important he is to our world. This is an interactive book for kids and a great teaching tool, with review questions for parents and teachers.

Readers who wish to experience this endearing work can purchase"The Bee Book" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
