"Follow a zany assemblage of skeletons on a whimsical journey through the hereafter to find answers to the ultimate questions. Do skeletons dream? And what would they do if brought back to life?"

Skeleton Play, a 32-page, Halloween-themed children's picture book designed to help children and parents better cope with death, was created on behalf of Ian & Aiden, Hailes' conjoined twins that graced his family's lives last September (2014) but only lived for a short time. If they raise the target amount, they will be able to print, package and ship a legacy that death is not the end and happiness for our loved ones lives on. A worthy and appropriate goal, but the support of many is needed to make it happen!

In a fun and engaging way, Skeleton Play helps promote the idea that death doesn't have to be a dark or scary thing; it is a part of everyday life and the other side doesn't have to be feared or shrouded with gloom or negativity. It can be viewed as a happy, joyful, and colorful place where our loved ones who have passed on live in happiness and fulfillment.

"If a skeleton's wish or a skeleton's dream were something more than a mischievous scheme, then what would become of those bones passed away? Just how would a dead, rotten skeleton play?"

Skeleton Play is currently available only on Amazon Kindle, but if HailesArt reaches their goal, they will be able to print, ship and release a special deluxe hardcover edition in November 2015 as well as distribute much more widely across the world.

Hailes has written and illustrated two graphic novels, entitled Dragon's Gait and Devil's Triangle. Other titles he has illustrated include Passion & Spirit: The Dance Quote Book, Continuum (Arcana Studios), as well as McKenna, McKenna, Ready to Fly, and the 2015 Girl of the Year eBook, Grace & Sylvie: A Recipe for Family (American Girl).
