Getting inspiration from the book "Wealth and Democracy" by Kevin Phillips, an economist for the administration of then President Ronald Reagan, author Ronald Regain read dozens of related economic and historic books. He decided to produce one cartoon-illustrated quick read for the American voters and the result of which is "Trickle Down for Dummies" (published by Trafford Publishing).

This book compares modern America to Old England, ancient Egypt and ancient Roman cultures, all controlled by a tiny elitist group. In here, Regain asks: "Are we middle class Americans just going to continue to act as sheep and see our children totally enslaved as wards of the rich?"

"The book should create a tongue in cheek future glimpse of where your children will be by the year 2060," Regain says. "There is no other book that summarizes and humorizes the rise and fall of America's middle class."

Through the publication of "Trickle Down for Dummies," Regain hopes readers will realize that their children's quality of life will greatly depend on changing the power of America's elite-one way or the other.
