Children's Campfire Stories and Thoughts is a new collection of fictional vignettes that are as the title describes and much more. Author Robert S. Weil found a unique method in making meaningful and moral stories for children by letting his kids become active participants in the making of his stories. These fables are inspired by wildlife and the great outdoors, specifically from campfire nights on a camp the author and his family would often visit on the Yosemite's high country.

Not surprisingly, Robert Weil has created an elevated atmosphere (in several senses) that makes his stories thought-provoking and memorable reading, in several senses-one, they are inspired by a romantic and spiritual view of nature; two, they sprung from the author's meditation on things that interested his children; and three, he carefully elucidates his ideas with the exact images or symbols that came from his children's interests. The first sense is very effective for his purpose of making stories which affect his readers in a positive way, the second pushes the stories into many classic forms of literature and the third sense fills the stories with excellent stylistic elements.

Each story in Children's Campfire Stories and Thoughts is dedicated to one of Weil's four children (Susan Paula, William West, Robert Paul and Lucretia Ayn). His love for them translates to well-wrought stories that will amaze readers for their depth and understanding of the things that concern children, and the complexity of the author's children's thoughts and dreams. About the Author

Author Robert S. Weil and his family of four children would make trips to the Yosemite's high country and camp on the place called Camp White Wolf. In the scenic surroundings, he would tell them to draw the things and creatures which they found interesting. Around the campfire during the evening, he would then relate the stories he made especially for his children's interest in things "with certain moral parts that would give them a meaning to life." After returning to the city, he would carefully write the stories down and has now compiled them in a book. He has authored two other books entitled Teenage Hobo and We Arrived.
