Author Ralph Hartman hopes to bring attention to God's faithfulness through his new book, "Communicate Navigate Aviate: Adventures for God in Canada's Bush Country" (published by WestBow Press), which chronicles the experiences he shared with his wife, Carolyn Hartman, in the remote Canadian bush country.

Ralph and Carolyn Hartman spent 45 years in northwestern Ontario as missionaries under Northern Light Gospel Missions. They experienced many unique and different situations in their remote location and were self-supporting much of the time. But there were also times when Ralph Hartman says they were totally dependent on God for direction and wisdom.

The Hartmans experienced bears coming right up to their house, being stranded by an airplane miles from civilization, handling grievous injuries without the ability to call on a doctor, rescuing friends from danger in the bush and much more.

An excerpt from "Communicate Navigate Aviate":

"I realized immediately I'd run out of fuel in the right wing tank, but the left tank was still almost half full, so I switched to the left tank. But nothing changed. The engine did not restart."
