OPSE, Paul Hill and Transition to Hired have teamed up to bring a proven job search system to Engineers across Ontario. The Panic Free Job Search System has been utilized by many professionals to land jobs and now has been tailored to address the challenges faced by Engineers in job search. It consists of four phases including a two day hands-on workshop where Engineers bring their phones and laptops into the classroom and do a job search with the guidance of Paul Hill, a veteran head-hunter, job search trainer and published author.

"Adult learners are notorious for attending classes and shelving away their notes never to look at them again and not following through on what they have learnt," said Paul Hill, author of The Panic Free Job Search and Chief Instructor at Transition to Hired. "What is unique about our program is that all job hunters, be they employed and seeking a step-up or unemployed and needing a job, leave the classroom with a 16 day customized job search plan and also get on-going support and coaching to keep them on track and assure their success. Professional support during job search is the key to following through and getting hired or re-hired quickly."

The period between jobs can cost a lot of money and be a drain on a job seeker's capital. The faster Engineers are back to productive work in their field the better it is for them, their families and of course the employers that can benefit from their advanced skills. For an Engineer who was making $80,000 per year, the cost for him or her for every day out of work is approximately $320 and this figure is without including the loss in benefits. The drain on the out of work engineer's wealth can be quick and dramatic. It is imperative to get back to work as soon as possible to mitigate capital loss as well as avoid long term unemployment bias.

The Panic Free Job Search Program's promise is to deliver a proven job search program consisting of 4 blended learning phases and each of these phases supplies the Engineers with the tools, processes, and methodologies to secure new work opportunities. Included in these phases is two-days of hands-on interactive in-classroom training where participants learn how to access the hidden job market and deliver impact-full professional messages that command the attention of employers and open up opportunities through SMARTSearch, networking, direct marketing, and professional online branding including social networking and LinkedIn best practices. Additionally, participants learn how to optimize their resumes to get more hits and how to increase the probability of an interview with a special delivery mechanism that raises their statuses to 'Candidates' instead of being 'just one' of the many applicants.

16 Days of Post-Workshop Support

Participants are provided with a 'success formula' through ongoing support and accountability. The follow-on section of the program is based on a structured detailed 16 day post workshop plan, including delivery of assignments on a fixed time schedule, activity tracking, group coaching, an appointed accountability partner, and access to the Panic Free Job Search Program leaders to get questions answered, re-focus, adjust, and/or customize approaches to job search as needed to achieve rapid success and get hired.

"We are pleased and excited to work with John Moudakis, Manager, Professional Development & Career Services at the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers - OSPE and to have his valuable input and backing in bringing our success formula to all Engineers across Ontario," said Navgeet Bajaj, co-leader and trainer of the Panic Free Job Search Program.

Registration is on a first come basis at OSPE's Professional Development page and an early bird discount is available until July 15, 2013.
