A Philosophical and Unique Approach to Exploring the World

"Travel is the departure from one's little pond. It is the bold renouncement of the petty comforts that hold us prisoner. It is a movement away from the known towards the unknown and unimaginable. Travel is expansion, widening, opening-up"

Bamboo Leaf Press proudly announces the launch of its first book, Destination Earth - A New Philosophy of Travel by a World-Traveler, by Nicos Hadjicostis. With the upcoming summer season, Destination Earth, a non-fiction book, is a captivating read that proposes a more meaningful and rewarding way of viewing Travel and its relation to Life.

The book is the product of the author's six-and-a-half-year continuous journey around the world, during which he treated the world as if it were one huge country, a single destination. In the book, ideas and experiences are interwoven into a newly created Philosophy of Travel. The "philosophy" is not formal, but practical and easy to read. New ideas are introduced, such as Magnification (the level of depth with which one explores a country), the Wise-Line (creating a wise travel route), and Capturing the Soul of a country.

More a guide to travel, rather than a travel guide, Destination Earth has a unique structure with three interrelated components: the main text described above, 23 travel-inspired stories meant to be read alongside the main text, and about 60 of the author's best photographs. Destination Earth addresses the latent world-traveler and world citizen of the 21st century within each one of us.

The book is available in two versions, print and digital, on Amazon.com.
