New Science Fiction Novel Provides Readers with Exciting Perspective... How would humanity react if a scientist or citizen discovered extraterrestrials living on Earth? Author Jon Fredric DeFrance's extensive research on the topic of psychology and neurophysiology inspired him to explore this topic in his new science fiction novel about humankind's first contact with an extraterrestrial intelligence, "Intersections 2021".

Set in New England, the story chronicles a history professor and an astrobiologist's encounter with extraterrestrial life forms on Earth before the United States government is made aware of their presence. Their contrasting ideas and subsequent arguments around how to handle the situation and the new life create a conflict that causes readers to reflect on what they would do if they found themselves in the same situation.

DeFrance uses themes of morality, prejudice and extraterrestrial life to craft this futuristic thriller. "A central theme of the book is the exploration of the characters' moral compasses," said DeFrance of "Intersections 2021". "The characters ask themselves frequently: is a morally sound decision always the absolute best decision?"

The book also presents discussions about the neurological bases for moral decision-making. "I wanted this story to reflect a scientific possibility," DeFrance said. "That's why I included hard science facts in the book."

The author's approach to storytelling takes readers on an experience that is not only compelling and entertaining but thought-provoking. "Intersections 2021" will provide readers with a gripping adventure and encourage them to examine their own moral values and humanity.
