BANGALORE, India

Author Murali Patibandla relates with other humans through the expression of intense emotion in his debut poetry collection, "A Garden with a Broken Fence" (published by Partridge India).

Inspired by his life experiences, sensitivity and emotional intensity, Patibandla took to the page, writing poems about the intensity of life, inner battles and triumphs, and relationships. He depicts different stages and moments of his life for readers, knowing that every human experiences the feelings contained in his poems at different stages of life.

Patibandla hopes some of the intense feelings he expresses will stay with readers. He says his experiences, sufferings, joys and relationships are relevant to all times - the past, present and future.

An excerpt from "A Garden with a Broken Fence":

"One day, a child broke through the fence
To play with a butterfly
The gatekeeper chased the child
As she ran wild"
