HOUSTON

The new devotional, "A Girl and Her Warhorse: Reveal False Hope. Restore True Rescue." (published by CrossBooks) from author Angie Goeke, explores Psalm 33 and the sin of idolatry to help women climb down from their warhorses and embrace God's love.

"A Girl and Her Warhorse" asks women of all ages to look at themselves from different angles and identify their false hopes. In doing so, Goeke found she had replaced Jesus with another and sought to take herself off her warhorse and seek forgiveness. Her devotional challenges readers to build a meaningful relationship with Jesus.

"I share how I uncovered and identified my warhorse and the restoration of my relationship with Jesus that followed," Goeke explains. "Each chapter concludes with the same thought-provoking questions that guided me through this process."

Goeke details the experiences and revelations that led her away from her false hopes and back to Jesus. She offers prayers and enlightening Scriptures for women who are looking to do the same.

Praise for "A Girl and Her Warhorse":

"Angie Goeke inspires women of all ages to live for Christ. Her authentic approach to living with Jesus and sharing the trials and triumphs of the Christian life is encouraging as well as inspiring. She is a gifted writer, musician, mother and friend who loves big, feels deeply, and desires to live passionately."
