Katie Minerva doesn't have an iPhone or a laptop. Katie's time is spent engulfed in her imagination in Sumneytown, PA in the late 1800s. She is kind and loving, with a curious nature and she is different from other girls her age.

In "The Dream Weaver," the new children's book by L. K. Quinque, we travel back to simpler times where young girls have more freedom to explore and take exciting adventures. Much like Alice in Wonderland, "The Dream Weaver" follows a young girl who interacts with colorful and exciting characters, often having conversations over afternoon tea.

Young Katie Minerva is given a strange gift from Granny Ruby at Dream Weaver Cottage and thus her adventures truly begin, taking her to a world far away from that of her normal, everyday life.

"Today young people seem to forget that commonality in our day-to-day lives," said Quinque. "Now young people communicate without really interacting in person a great deal of the time."
