South Louisiana author Nettye Johnson - a certified health coach, Christian educator and professional speaker - will sign her book, "Put Your Faith Where Your Fork Is," from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 18 at The Gospel Book Store, 91 Westbank Expy, Ste 410 in Gretna.

Johnson will discuss her book, which outlines spiritual truths and scientific principles to health and wellness. "Put Your Faith Where Your Fork Is" provides hope and help for those who are tired of the struggle with weight. It contains information, self-examination activities and action steps to right skewed relationships with food and embrace healthy disciplines as a way to honor God.

The author developed a passion for health education and promotion during her 10 years with Weight Watchers International. According to a news release, Johnson's work in training, business development and operations management has impacted thousands. She was struck by the decline of wellness in the nation and in this book Johnson shares holistic education, motivation, and support to effectively address this trend.

A book reviewer shares, "This book is one of the best books I've read. Not only does the author share her struggles with weight gain, she provides simplistic, and realistic approaches to maintaining your temple both physically as well as spiritually. It's funny, informative, encouraging, and empowering."
