'Moonscape' Offers Tribute to Vietnam Veterans

During the Vietnam war a multitude of young men were conscripted to fight in some of the bloodiest military campaigns in American history. These courageous young men were expected to fight in the harshest terrain and against men who knew the battlefield intimately. About the Author
Randall T. Elliott served in Vietnam with the US Army during the heaviest period of fighting, including the Tet Offensive and the Spring High Point. His experiences are included in the book. After the war, he resigned his commission and joined the Department of State with tours in Israel and special assignments throughout the Middle East. He was called to active duty as a Reserve officer when Desert Storm broke out and commanded the Kuwait Task Force, which was designed to rebuild Kuwait once coalition forces had control of the country. After retirement, Elliott started his own construction company and lives in Maryland with his wife, Dr. Roberta Palestine.
