Poverty-stricken and quickly forgotten, Pretty was orphaned at a tender age. But that won't stop her from finding success. Confused but principled, she beats all the odds by relying on her endurance and perseverance. Something good always comes out of a storm in "A Thorny Path to Destiny: Land Mines in My Path to Destiny" (published by AuthorHouse UK).

"Looking at the challenges of poverty, illness, drug abuse and many more social ills around the whole world in both developed and developing countries," says author Mirriam B.C. Kabila. "I wanted to encourage the readers to make informed decisions and refrain from undesirable practices despite all the challenges they might encounter on their way to their destiny."

"A Thorny Path to Destiny" communicates the message that race, skin color, background, environment or circumstances should not stop anyone from becoming the person they want to be - and that it is how a person responds to their circumstances that will determine their destiny.
