Marshall W. Northington, PhD, has completed his new book "Mid-Life Career Assessment: MCA Workbook": a guidebook created for anyone facing the difficult choices involved with finding a new career as a mature professional.

Dr. Northington is a graduate of the University of Oregon College of Education's Counseling Psychology program. Over the past twenty-five years, he has worked in both the public and private sectors. His specialization has been in the broad range of career decision making and planning. He has worked for the Department of Labor in Program Development and the Manpower Demonstration Research Corporation conducting field studies on youth employment. For fifteen years, he ran a family business in Tucson, and now he combines the academic preparation and real life experience into a perspective useful to his clients. He has been a member of the American Psychological Association and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Arizona Small Business Association.

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Marshall W. Northington's instructional work offers thought provoking dialogue and exercises for anyone considering a new career path. Northington presents readers with questions designed to assist in the process of making a decision that will impact the rest of their lives. The work provides helpful new perspectives to mid-life readers who are facing this difficult choice.

There are 77 million American men and women over 55 years of age. Many of them are without employment because their jobs have left the country and businesses are consolidating and moving employees out of their companies. Men and women have turned away from looking for work because they haven't realized any success in their search and at this point they are giving up. Midlife Career Assessment is a way for readers to look at themselves, ask tough questions, and study needed answers. It incorporates looking at what readers know right now, what they like, and making a choice about their future.

Readers who wish to experience this helpful work can purchase "Mid-Life Career Assessment: MCA Workbook" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
