LOS ANGELES, Aug. 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ "My Neighborhood," (http://www.myneighborhoodkidsbook.com/) by Mark Saint Juste, signals the arrival of a new voice in children's media. The launch of the book is just the first glimpse of the "Get Me Me" brand (http://www.getmemekids.com), a far-reaching entertainment, success lifestyle, and education brand that speaks to grade school children on their own terms, encouraging the next generation of kids to "love themselves so that they can love others."

"Get Me Me" means to love and take care of oneself so one can more effectively love and take care of others. Put another way, people have to love and respect themselves to build up a reserve of compassion and positive energy to "spend" on those around them. Self-respect, self-esteem and self-empowerment are the pillars of the brand.

"My Neighborhood" introduces a cast of multi-cultural characters known as the Get Me Me Kids, as well as Cyrus Kamel, the Kids' chief nemesis and CEO of Kamel Industries, a symbol of greed run amok. The book is both a standalone work as well as a prelude to and supplemental reading material for the first Get Me Me Kids feature film, "Enter The Kamel," which is currently in production.

"My Neighborhood" is narrated by Get Me Me Kid Tina Fordami, a young reporter whose enthusiastic outlook forms the basis of the life lessons that the author hopes to impart, including the immense power of thought, perception, and goal-setting. The foundational pledge and premise of the Get Me Me brand ("Love yourself and take care of yourself, so you can love and take care of others") is written on the back cover and the book has been beautifully illustrated by former Disney animator Michael Horowitz, who imbues each character in the book with vibrancy and personality.

Saint Juste has seen firsthand the profound impact of a teaching model that emphasizes positive action through self-care. "I believe that children who learn at an early age how to better love and take care of themselves will grow up with a greater capacity to love and help those around them," he explained. "'My Neighborhood' exemplifies this concept though dynamic illustrations and a Doctor Seuss-like poetic rhyme storytelling style."

"Much of the tragedy in the world stems from poisonous ideas that are fed to people at an early age. Love, self-respect, and compassion, on the other hand, have the power to change the world, one person at a time. The body of the Get Me Me content brand has been developed to also be an entertaining personal development classroom curriculum to complement literature, math, and the sciences. That was the initial reason I wrote and produced the song 'I'm Too Good For DRUGS' for my students' DARE class. With elements of negativity and hate in the world today on full display in places like Iraq and Ferguson, Missouri, we need to institute a curriculum of love in classrooms for children around the world right now."

The seeds of Get Me Me were sewn when the author was a 5 th grade teacher at Florida's Deerfield Park Elementary School. To foster the principles of visualized attention and focus, Saint Juste developed the Get Me Me Pledge, which his students recited each morning. Looking back, he describes the experience as transformative both for himself and his students: "We live in a cynical time, and I understand that it would be easy to dismiss the philosophy of the Get Me Me Kids as naively optimistic. However, I've personally witnessed the effectiveness of this pledge in action for two years with over 40 students in my classroom. The forthcoming releases from this brand and its properties must capture that passion for love."

Saint Juste asks anyone with an interest in the Get Me Me brand philosophy parents, educators, potential strategic partners to stay tuned. "My Neighborhood" is just the beginning. "Enter the Kamel," an animated short as well as a full-length 3D animated feature film currently in the early stages of production, will be the first of several projects featuring the Get Me Me Kids.
