In her new book "Exhilarated Life: Happiness Ever After" (published by Balboa Press), author Marilyn Harding chronicles some of the most challenging times of her life, all of which led her to a deeper understanding of the full meaning of happiness.

Harding's book is prefaced by a family history, which includes depression, anxiety and suicide. Determined not to perpetuate the family script and galvanized by her husband's death, Harding surrenders to "what is" and discovers a whole new outlook. The series of short stories begin here and verify this path to everyday happiness.

The message in Harding's book is that true happiness holds both highs and lows of life. Here are strategies and real life lessons on how to achieve one's full potential through conscious choices. These are proved out through grief, betrayal, the financial crisis and starting over when Harding's path leads her to find self-love, new love and life on an island in Greece.

"Happiness is allowed, not achieved," Harding says. "Self-fulfillment is the only true foundation for lasting happiness every day."

An honest, intimate, funny and poetic look at life and happiness, "Exhilarated Life" offers a unique perspective coupled with the tools the author used to achieve personal fulfillment. It explains a process, not a formula, to allow any reader to come in at any level of understanding and find their own pace and definition of happiness and self-fulfillment.
