Le French Book Releases 2015 Book Line-Up

Le French Book is dedicated to bringing commercial fiction from France to a wider audience, starting with English translations of top mysteries and thrillers, and its 2015 line-up of books holds a whole variety of styles in the genre.

"We'll be continuing some of our successful series, and we'll be launching some stand-alones and another series. As always, we want to broaden the spectrum of entertaining reads we are making available to readers," publisher Anne Trager says. "French mystery and thriller writers are a very creative bunch, and our goal is to bring their work in all its diversity to a wider audience with our translations."

The publisher has scheduled one new book release every month, all mysteries and thrillers from France.

January-The City of Blood by award-winning author Frédérique Molay. This new book in the Paris Homicide series brings Paris alive with a solid police procedural.

February-Cognac Conspiracies by Jean-Pierre Alaux and Noël Balen. The Winemaker Detective finds his loyalties tested in Cognac.

March-Shadow Ritual by Eric Giacommeti and Jacques Ravenne. The beginning of a best-selling series that is a heady mix of Freemasons, secret societies, action, history and strong characters.

April-The Morgenstern Project by David Khara. In this new instalment in the best-selling Consortium thriller series, secret agent Eytan Morg must rely on the help of his closest friends to free himself of the physical and emotional scars of his past.

May-Mayhem in Margaux by Jean-Pierre Alaux and Noël Balen. A tragic car accident draws the Winemaker Detective and his assistant Virgile into a case where the stakes are very personal.

June-Flambé in Armagnac by Jean-Pierre Alaux and Noël Balen. More intrigue and sleuthing for the Winemaker Detective, this time in the heart of Gascony.

July-The Collector by Anne-Laure Thiéblemont. In the merciless microcosm of Paris art auctions and galleries, some people collect art, while others, like Marion Spicer, collect trouble.

August-Murder in Montmartre by Jean-Pierre Alaux and Noël Balen. The Winemaker Detective finds himself handling both grapevines and a case in Paris.

September-Black Cocaine by Laurent Guillaume. This is classic noir with a modern twist set in Africa, where an ordinary drug mule case turns into a dangerous confrontation with tradition and corruption.

October-The Lafayette Sword by Eric Giacometti and Jacques Ravenne. Inspector Antoine Marcas Antoine investigates two ritual murders committed by a Freemason, in a case where gold is more than it seems.

November and December-Two more Winemaker Detective novels will celebrate Beaujolais nouveau and late harvest Alsatian wines with gumshoeing and Epicurean enjoyment.
