According to the International Foundation for Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is the most common functional gastrointestinal (GI) disorder. Author Larry Tremblay has struggled with IBS and dyspepsia his whole life. After years of trial and error, he developed his own natural techniques (simple and systematic internal exercises) to relieve his discomfort. Now, Tremblay is making this information available to others who suffer from functional digestive disorders (FDDs). His new book, "Dyspepsia and IBS for the Wise: How to Treat Functional Digestive Disorders (FDDs) with or without medication" (published by Trafford Publishing), explains his natural remedies for GI pain.

Tremblay discusses his own experiences with acid reflux, dyspepsia and IBS. He compares and contrasts his methodology for treating these conditions with the techniques used in modern medicine. The techniques described include psychoanalysis, chiropractic treatment, acupuncture, meditation and others.

"This book shows how we can care for ourselves, be active, save money and reduce pressure on the health care system even when we suffer from FDDs," Tremblay says.

Tremblay hopes that his book will inspire readers who suffer from digestive issues that there is a way to live a life free of the pain of IBS and dyspepsia.
