The story begins when the central character, the golden princess, meets problems associated with growing up in a royal family and meeting with some of the most unusual friends and enemies.

Alice as a young child learns about life and, as she develops, she learns about little people and their abilities which they share with her. These abilities enable the central character to tackle some local problems, such as unruly teenagers, cold schools and eventually warlocks and witches that are associated with evil problems and to the goddess Freya.

Will the golden princess defeat the evil forces of the dark? Children and children at hearts are up for an exciting and action-packed ride as the "The Golden Princess" uncovers its many twists and exciting surprises.

About the Author
L. R. (String) Garner, born in Lyttelton, New Zealand, in 1932, spent the majority of his working life in the New Zealand Army. This included two periods of active service in Borneo and Vietnam. During his service, he has co- authored books such as Regulations and Standing Orders. On retirement, he wrote a number of short stories and entered them into competitions and received some nice compliments but no prizes. "The Golden Princess" was written over a period of ten years, a chapter every three months, for granddaughters and great-nieces in order to keep the spreading family in touch with each other.
