Kirsten Johnson, originally from New Orleans now living in Los Angeles, California has written two other books. She is motivated to keep her beautiful home city alive through the stories she shares. "Keep Trying Carrot" is the story of a toy carrot who dreams of visiting the Big Easy as his friend Bear calls it. Bear tells Carrot all about New Orleans great food: red beans and rice, jambalaya, crawfish, shrimp, po-boys, and saving the best for last, beignets. Obstacles kept presenting themselves to Carrot. After talking to his friends, they decided to join him on his adventure. Kirsten is looking forward to her new adventure as the author of "Keep Trying Carrot."

About the Author:
Kirsten Johnson is a freelance writer from New Orleans, Louisiana. She graduated from the University of New Orleans in 2006 with a BA in Film and Mass Communications. She is currently working on a Masters in Education at Antioch University. Her specialties are children's fiction and edutainment. She works to combine her love of film and education to teach youth. "Keep Trying Carrot" is her third published book.
