Author Joseph Sassoon answers questions about society's role in promoting the self-actualization of its individuals in the second book in his self-actualization trilogy, "The Humanist Society: The Social Blueprint for Social-Actualization" (published by iUniverse).

Among the subjects analyzed in Sassoon's new book are the societal benefits of reaching one's full potential, the main characteristics of humanist code and ways to promote humanist values. Sassoon utilizes the teachings of major thinkers like Buddha, Kurt Goldstein and Charles Darwin, among others, to reach conclusions to the unanswered questions posed within his text.

Sassoon says self-actualization is the key for nations seeking democracy and internal peace. His main goal is to show readers how to organize a democratic nation based on natural human values derived from human nature.

An excerpt from "The Humanist Society":

"The idea of self-actualization was developed by Kurt Goldstein (1878-1965), Abraham Maslow (1908-1970), and others. It presents the natural paradigm to which we can refer all problems and find the best solutions, ones that are based on biological needs as known from empirical evidence."
