For those who think that a lamb and a dog can't be best buddies, they would have to think again because in this colorful, fun-filled picture book, they are the best friends and best Heroes of the Farm. Author Darlene Goy brings forth her life and love of the farm in this children's book that's perfect for boys and girls, ages 5 to 7 years old.

This fable follows the story of a premature lamb named Laredo and a big white guard dog named Jake. Because Laredo is weak, small, and still fighting for her dear life, Jake has to keep track of her. Readers will see how they work together in their own way to keep the flock safe from the dangers on the farm.

But when Jake takes after a coyote and doesn't come back for a long time, Laredo gets really worried. Because of the time they spent together, they have become the best of friends. And now, he is deeply concerned that Jake may be fighting for his life. How will Jake fare in this challenge? What will Laredo do? Readers will find out as they visit and meet these two Heroes of the Farm.

The book is available online and can be purchased at http://www.bookventure.com, http://www.amazon.com and http://www.barnesandnoble.com
