TE PUKE, New Zealand

The death of a loved one leaves a deep wound that never truly heals. It is because one can never forget, but only learn to live with the loss. Sorrow is inevitable and the process of getting used to is hard and long. Yet through all this, author Grant Cross believes there is always reprieve from the pain. In "The Loss of a Son" (published by Xlibris NZ), he shares his own story of loss and how he overcame this most difficult part of life, hoping to help others going through the same struggle to find their own path to healing.

"The Loss of a Son" tells the tragic death of the author's child and how it affected him and everyone in his family. Having experienced grief in its rawest form, he writes about the slow journey of finding hope again amidst the lingering emotional suffering. Whom to turn to when all seem lost? Where to seek help from and when does healing truly begins? Cross asks these questions as he guides his readers through this enlightening read.

An excerpt from "The Loss of a Son:"

"On the last night, something changed. There were a lot of Dames mate's boys, girls, young, not so young. In fact, as Grant stood at the door, he wondered how they all fitted in the room. It was the last night; the last time he would be able to look into the room and see Dame's body."

Poignant and truthful, "The Loss of a Son" The Loss of a Son" shines the light of hope and spiritual liberation to those who seek a way out of their misery. It is a personal testament of courage and love, exemplifying God's promise of rest for those who lay their faith in Him.
