BRAMPTON, Ontario

At age 10, Shane believes he can handle any punishment thrown at him, thinking he can never truly pay for a crime. Eight short years later, Shane is a million dollars richer, with a trail of bodies behind him.

Garth A. Edgar invites readers to walk in Shane's shoes in his new novel, "Mother Nature's Mistake" (published by iUniverse), which follows Shane on his descent into the deadly and vile world of crime.

Now an established player in the drug trade, Shane is looking to expand his empire. Things complicate when he meets Cindy, a stripper, who steals his heart and gives birth to his child, Junior. Despite being a father and Cindy's pleas for him to leave crime behind, Shane is set on getting revenge for a shooting that nearly cost him his life.

Throughout "Mother Nature's Mistake," Shane goes from kingpin and drug lord to defeated prisoner. Without a positive role model, Junior quickly begins to follow in his father's footsteps. Junior's actions then test the limits of family values and the human spirit, with anything but victory resulting in absolute loss.
