VILLEPLATTE, La.

Receiving an inspirational message from God, author Firebird Green, Jr. felt how his spiritual knowledge opened, prompting him to share this experience and set his soul free. In "The Last Man is Standing" (published by Xlibris), he aims to accomplish this goal.

"The Last Man is Standing" is the story of a man whose life is transformed by God. His house just got shaken off its sanded foundation and now it was necessary to go back to the beginning and take an open and honest look at his life and try to understand just where or how his ship sailed off its course. It explains from a Christian viewpoint the metamorphosis that the author went through from a natural man into a sanctified soul.

In a society that is becoming more polarized, many people are looking for something to believe in and there is a need to see that the door is still open. "Resources will never replace the source, the Almighty God. And man is in intensified search without ever realizing it," Green says.

An enlightening read, "The Last Man is Standing" shows readers that all things are possible if they only believe.

About the Author
Firebird Green Jr. was born and raised in R.B., Louisiana. He was raised by his father and uncles doing some of the typical Louisiana boy kinds of things: fishing, hunting, playing sports in the neighbourhood, racing, and running straight down the middle of rock roads. The church played an important role in his early development as a child. He was required to attend Sunday school and bible classes and every Sunday afternoon services. He graduated from State High with honours and went off immediately into the air force and spent time in Europe's B.B., Germany, and visited many of the surrounding countries like France, Belgium, Holland, and Italy. He got out of the military in the early sixties and went straight into LA, California, at a time when the hippie movement was just taken off on the West Coast and Black Pride was moving through, changing the African American community at an alarming pace.
