Author and licensed counselor Kendra Crowell-Hurd consulted a plethora of self-help books in the wake of her divorce, searching for the most effective techniques for successfully starting over. She combines what she learned with personal and professional experience in her new nonfiction, "Finding the Silver Lining in Divorce: What to Do When 'I Do' Turns into 'I Don't'" (published by Balboa Press).

"This book can give the reader hope that there is life after divorce," Crowell-Hurd states. "It gives a road map on the journey to healing."

"Finding the Silver Lining in Divorce" is a workbook that contains over 70 mental, emotional, physical and spiritual tools for healing the mind, body and spirit. There are suggestions throughout, and readers can easily customize their path to healing with a variety of options. "I know these tools work because I have applied them to myself over the past 25 years," Crowell-Hurd writes.

"There is life after divorce!" Crowell-Hurd says encouragingly. "You too can experience the dawning of a new life. The only journey worth taking is the one going inward. Know thyself!"
