In "Cooperating for Enhanced Survival in the Twenty-First Century: A Rational Scientific Basis for Understanding and Resolving Economic and Political Problems" (published by Archway Publishing), author Earl Willis argues that the universe is real, rational and causal, and under that basis he proposes the theory of contropy.

Willis explains that the theory of contropy builds upon Darwin's theory of evolution and further describes the evolutionary process to offer a new view of the world.

"It offers positive suggestions for resolving many of the World's current problems, and it claims that nonaggressive positive-sum cooperation is the way to our salvation," Willis explains.

He adds, "This book claims to show why political, economic, and even religious systems that are not based upon individual freedom do not create wealth. In that case they are bound to fail eventually-of course, causing much human misery, drudgery, and hopelessness in their rise and fall."
