"E.R.G: Everyday Readiness Guidance" (published by LifeRich Publishing) is a guidebook designed to help readers overcome problems through building self-reliance. Author Michael J. Dubé explores myriad concepts, including forms of energy, cosmology, chaos, capitalism and consumerism. The book provides guiding principles for developing a mission statement, tips on planning, strategies to stay resilient and ways to practice situational awareness.

"I am concerned about the problems hampering the decision processes used by people, especially teens," says Dubé. "There also seems to be a lack of awareness about human responsibility and accountability for many incidents and conditions that we become embroiled in."

The book's insights are designed to guide readers toward establishing themselves as the person in control of the things, situations and people they can directly affect. Dubé teaches that risky behavior will eventually lead to more problems, and that is most beneficial to take responsibility for one's actions.
