LOWER HUTT, New Zealand

David Smith has extensive experience as an early childhood teacher. This career also opened his eyes to issues in the early childhood education system and the current conditions of its children and teachers. He discusses these in detail in his recently released book, "Suffer the little Children" (published by Xlibris NZ).

The main focus of Smith's new book is the everyday logistics of care for preschool children in New Zealand and how the present standard of care impacts the lives of children, parents and society as a whole. Smith hopes that by shedding light on this crucial topic, he can help readers make informed choices pertinent to children's education and their wellbeing.

"This book outlines the choices that we need to make," Smith says. "Let me take you through the options, and learn as I have done about the logistics of providing quality care."

Timely, informative and practical, "Suffer the little Children" will be of interest to parents, educators, government and educational institutions and anyone who wants to make sure that quality care is given to children.
