With the good intention of making a positive change in the society for the benefit of the generations to come, David Reedman creates a book based on his personal experience-and on what he believes-titled "A Man's Greatest Challenge... ...Being a Father" (published by Xlibris AU). All that Reedman has done is to raise awareness of these issues and give some broad guidelines to help guide men through them.

In the book, Reedman wanted to highlight briefly some of the consequences of fatherlessness in the society. Men need to know that their efforts as fathers are important-to leave a legacy in the lives of the children that will surely impact the next generations. And men need to know that the challenges experienced with regards to being a father to their children are not unique. As fathers, men are all in the same 'fight'; the journey men, as fathers, take are very similar journeys and Reedman wants to challenge men afresh to rise up and make a difference in personal homes and families and then in society.

The majority of the book is designed to pass on the things that the author has learned in his own journey as a father to the next generation of fathers. He firstly presents what he believes are some of the fundamental requirements of being an effective father. He then focuses on six basic steps or principles that apply to becoming an effective father to their children. The last thing that the author touches on is to address some of the main challenges or obstacles that men confront as they seek to be an effective father.
