Author David D. Ferman invites readers to experience the second novel in his Gordy Tyler murder-mystery series. "Bad Moon Over Alpine" (published by AuthorHouse) is Ferman's latest offering. This novel features insights into the psychogenic and physical ordeals of many returned combat veterans, the intrigue of a multi-layered mystery and cold-blooded murders by two highly unlikely but malicious killers.

During the serial murders of six young businessmen near a plush mountain ski resort, the Chief of Police, Charlie Holoman, asks his lifelong "homeboy" friend and fellow Marine, Gordy Tyler, for expert computer assistance to help solve these crimes. A widower, still grieving the accidental death of his wife, Tyler comes to Colorado in search of peace, quiet and a change of scenery. The story becomes more complicated when Tyler becomes romantically involved with the sister of a key suspect, and is then drawn into an unrelated shootout in a famous ghost town under an unusual "bad moon," which some believe is an omen of very bad luck.

An excerpt from "Bad Moon Over Alpine:"

"Like a great man once said: 'Everything I am today, I owe to my friends. And one of these days, I'm going to get even with every damned one of them'."
