Home composting can greatly reduce the need for toxic landfills, atmospheric pollution, and even the wear-and-tear of local and long haul garbage trucks on streets and highways. In his latest book, earthworm and lifelong organic farmer Daniel C. Merrill, M.D. tenders a complete guide in earthworm farming and organic gardening to encourage home owners to compost household wastes. The Earthworm Farmer's Bible also tells the reader how to sell earthworms and their castings for a handsome profit.

Most, if not all, are interested in endeavors geared towards environmental conservation, particularly the reduction of greenhouse gases. However, few people realize the positive effects that can be achieved if majority of the population begin to compost their organic waste in their homes and backyards. Aside from alleviating nature from the burdens of excessive wastes, home composting can be turned into a profitable commercial enterprise. This book tells readers how to do it.

This book is a must-read for anyone interested in raising earthworms and/or starting an organic garden. In its pages, the reader will learn the difference between standard composting and composting with earthworms. It includes a step-by-step process to convert organic household waste into the magical earth-friendly fertilizers known as earthworm castings-the key component organic horticulture. Plus, it includes a section on how to sell worms and their by-products for a lucrative income.

Disposal of human generated waste is one of the most important environmental issues today and will continue to be in the future. The Earthworm Farmer's Bible advances the Green Revolution through a fun, income-generating hobby.
