A woman's disappearance brings a retired cop back to the force for one last thrilling case in author Dale German's novel, "The Judge's Wife Is Missing" (published by Abbott Press). German's daughter, Pam Hair, published the novel posthumously for him and is now kicking off 2015 with a new marketing campaign.

Set in Wichita, Kansas, "The Judge's Wife Is Missing" follows retired police Capt. Amos Cooper, who is suddenly called back to the force to investigate a disappearance. The missing person, Marilou Wells, was seen boarding a nonstop plane from Wichita to Boston, but she never made it to Boston.

Marilou is the wife of Judge Elmo Wells, who has never gotten along with Amos, and there are plenty of people with grudges against with Elmo. As Amos delves deeper into the case, he suspects foul play and realizes that Marilou has a few secrets of her own as well. Will he find her before it is too late?

Filled with twists and turns, "The Judge's Wife Is Missing" presents readers with a puzzling mystery.

"It is a well-written mystery," Hair says, "It flows well, and keeps your interest. The characters have dimension and are believable, and you are concerned about what happens to them."
