Christina Gordon, an elementary school teacher and author, has completed her first book "Extraordinary": an endearing and vibrant new story that is a classic childhood escapade filled with lovable characters and a heartwarming message.

On how she would describe the book and its message, author Christina Gordon said, "When people think of the word "extraordinary" they usually think of things or people who are amazing or that provide that "wow" factor. The truth is, we each have that "wow" factor inside of us and it is just a matter of discovering it. As I teach my students, we each have differences but it is those differences that make us extra special, and sometimes that "extra special" characteristic comes from just being ordinary because we are being ourselves rather than someone we are not. Becky goes through slight turmoil within herself as she tries to figure out what kind of angel she is - where do her talents lie? She hears what her friends are going to do for the talent show and worries about how to equal them. In the end she realizes that she is special just as she is without any extra glitz and glamour. I think children - or anybody- can relate to this conflict since most people have experienced similar times when they try to fit in with those around them. It is when Becky unconsciously manipulates the word "extraordinary" that she accepts who she is and by doing so, demonstrates that someone can be extraordinary by being completely ordinary - and by just being themselves."

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Christina Gordon's poignant tale is a finely crafted work of prose that is engaging and filled with colorful characters and gorgeous settings.

The time approaches for the semiannual talent show to take place, causing excitement among the angels. However, this year the talent show will be different, for the participating angels will showcase the talent which makes them extraordinary. Becky wants to enter but faces the dilemma of not possessing any talents that make her extraordinary. How can an ordinary angel develop an extraordinary talent with the talent show a week away?

Readers who wish to experience this inspiring work can purchase "Extraordinary" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
