Carla McDougal to Host Book Signing at LifeWay Bookstore in Woodlands, TX, 12/20

Carla McDougal is a wife, mother, and celebrated author. She is also a passionate follower of Jesus Christ. Her love of the Lord led her to found Reflective Life Ministries in 2008, and to write her book, My Prayer Chair, which won the USA 2013 Best Book Award in the Prayer & Devotional Category and was a silver medal winner in the 2013 Readers' Favorite Book Awards. Further, My Prayer Chair has been translated into Spanish; this version is titled Mi Sillion De Oracion, and like its English counterpart, was launched by Next Century Publishing. McDougal has been invited to be on hand at LifeWay Christian Bookstore on December 20th to sign her books for current fans and new readers alike.

The signing, which will take place at the LifeWay Bookstore in Woodlands, TX in the Portofino Shopping Center near the Woodlands Mall, is set to begin at 1pm. Occurring just in time for Christmas, the signing is a great opportunity for fans to get a copy of McDougal's award-winning books personalized for themselves or a loved one. The book, which encourages readers to engage in an ongoing conversation with the Lord, will help readers who want to strengthen their faith throughout the holidays, into 2015, and beyond. My Prayer Chair is full of encouragement, personal stories, and scripture. McDougal, who believes that laughter is truly a gift from God that removes the masks we wear in daily life, also infuses her book with a great deal of humor.

Carla McDougal is the founder of Reflective Life Ministries in the Houston area, as well as an author and a speaker. Her true passion is her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. It humbles her to realize that His love, grace, and mercy go beyond her understanding. She truly believes laughter is medicine from the Lord that breaks down walls and removes the masks in our lives. As a result, God has taken her around the world to encourage others to live every day for Him. RLM's newest venture involved the production of a second movie. Carla explains, "Reaching audiences through high-quality, Christ-centered films offers powerful avenues to affect the Kingdom of God." Carla and her husband, Fred, live in the Houston area and have three sons, one daughter, and two daughters-in-law. She smiles to think of the experiences God has allowed in her life to teach and remind her "He is in control."
