According to EveFoundation.com, 20 people per minute are victims of physical violence by an intimate partner in the United States. This staggering statistic equates to over ten million women and men each year. Also, according to the American Medical Association, over a million women seek medical treatment for injuries related to abuse each year.

If anyone can understand physical abuse and the effects, it would be Cade Soleil. After denying her own childhood abuse and later finding out that her daughter had been abused by the same man, Soleil embarked on a mission to discover the truth and begin healing for her family by writing her book, "Nevermore."

"My vision has always been that this book will touch hearts that have long lain dormant because of denial. I also see it touching the hearts of the ones who have administered the abuse so that they could heal as well," Soleil said.

In "Nevermore," readers follow Soleil and her daughter in a play format. As Soleil perseveres through the denial and eventually begins to heal from the pain, she starts to forgive and break the cycle of abuse that has gripped her family for many years.

"Holding in pain is toxic, but healing is possible and wholeness is attainable. My book provides a voice for the victims who have not yet found theirs," Soleil said.

By reading "Nevermore," millions of people will be moved by Soleil's personal account of tragedy and feel empowered to begin conversations about this epidemic.
