Author Bill Dendiu was nearing the sixth decade of his life in 2011. He says that the first 50 years of his life were spent as an entrepreneur who was always active. This all changed when Dendiu suffered a severe stroke that August.

Dendiu's new book, "My Walk Home: A Story of Miracles and Spiritual Healing" (published by Balboa Press), tells of his difficult but triumphant journey toward healing.

Following his stroke, every doctor Dendiu saw told him he would likely never walk again, and that his body may remain paralyzed for the rest of his life. He decided not to listen to their words, and instead turned to Christianity and the Lord.

"My Walk Home" chronicles Dendiu's experiences with recovery, detailing everything from his enthusiastic prayer sessions and daily exercises to his eventual success at walking again.

By telling his story, Dendiu hopes to instill in readers the same faith and fire that got him out of his chair and on his feet.
